Even though I have recently plunged into the whole experience design dialogue, it appears the discussion has been going on for the past several years.

In certain sectors, processes are haphazard, and extremely frustrating.  (see the link to Metropolis article, Oct issue)

Since we know where the issues are, why haven’t these processes been fixed?  what are the factors which prevent progress from being made?
